Mr. Vaught was a special person in my life. He was my basketball coach when I was in the 7th and 8th grade. As principal at Peachtree Elementary, he gave me my first teaching job and I worked for him for 20 years. My parents loved Mr. Vaught and he remained a friend to them until their deaths. He was the principal at Peachtree when my own children were students there. The trait I most admired in him was the duty he felt for the poor students, the troubled students, the underdogs. I have so many fond memories of Mr. Vaught and I so appreciate his friendship through all the years. My thoughts are with Joyce, Teresa, and Anthony at this time. Mr. Vaught will be missed.
