RIDDLE
MARS HILL - Robert Paul Riddle, 71, of Mars Hill, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was born on May 11, 1939 in Burnsville to Jim and Josephine Riddle. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Frances Riddle, and sisters, Janie Honeycutt and Marie Deyton.
He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Cuba Missile Crisis, and retired in 1995, after several years of service, from Champion Textiles. He was a member of Peeks Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jeanette Good Riddle; son, Robert Madison Riddle (Tami); brother, James Riddle (Mae); sisters, Kitty Laws (S.C.), June Beaver, and Opal Lee; and a special niece, Hope Good.
