Shelby Wilkie Obituary
Asheville - Shelby Anne Sprowls Wilkie, 38, of Hendersonville died January 2, 2012. She was born March 2, 1973 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Shelby had an infectious smile that could light up a room; she was giving, caring and had a positive spirit which kept everyone laughing. As the glue that held the Sprowls family together, Shelby loved her family and was a wonderful mother to her three month old daughter, Sydney Anne who she absolutely adored.
Shelby's love of music led her to her career in the music industry and her job at Asheville Radio Group. She formed a strong bond with her colleagues there and they became part of her family whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her daughter, Sydney Anne, Shelby is survived by her parents, William Howard and Barbara Jan Sprowls; sister, Brandi Sprowls and her husband, Lance; brother, Bill Sprowls and his wife, Stacie; brother, Dustin Sprowls and his wife, Monica all of Asheville; niece and nephew, Kayla and Riley; aunts, Jill Hanson, Jenny Snopl and her husband, Tom, Carol Reiff and her husband, Don, Midge Jontz and her husband, Denny and Sue Sprowls, and cousins, Tory, Allie, Samantha and Dylan. Shelby was preceded in death by her uncle, Scott Hanson last June.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the Chapel of Morris Funeral Home, 304 Merrimon Avenue. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Even though I didn't know her well and met her to watch sidney. I am very sorry for your loss, from what I met of her she had a beautiful smile and personality. She will never be forgotten and carried through in sidneys life. My family is praying for your family I couldn't imagine how you must feel. If you guys need anything let brandy know. As a neighbor, unfortunately I never had the opportunity to get to know her.After her celebration of life yesterday I felt that I had known her for years. What an amazing woman she was. Our prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
