Stephen Snyder Obituary

Stephen Ray Snyder

Candler - Stephen Ray Snyder, 57, of Candler, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 26, 2021.

A native of Western North Carolina, Stephen was the son of Kenneth Snyder and the late Norma Snyder. He was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Carolyn Snyder.

Left to cherish Stephen's memory are his children, Stephanie (Matthew) Dobler and Christopher (Angela) Snyder; father, Kenneth (Myrdice) Snyder; sister, Cathy (Douglas) Sparks; grandchildren, Liam and Lucy Dobler; nieces, Cynthia (Robert) Anderson and their children, Charlie and Hudson, and Caroline (Josh) Grossbard; along with numerous extended family and friends that loved him dearly.

Stephen was a wonderful son, exceptional father, best little brother, and proud papaw that treasured his family with all his heart. He had a passion for foosball and loved to go out with family and friends to eat. You could always find him helping out others in their time of need. Stephen was a member of Lake Hills Church and loved by many. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

The family held a private service and will have a Celebration of Stephen's Life at a later date.

Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service of Clyde is caring for the family and the online register is available at www.smokymountaincremations.com.

Just wanted to let all of Steve’s loved ones know how shocked and saddened I was to hear this! Kenneth, Norma, Cathy and Steve treated me like family for years and I love each of them dearly. God Speed my brother and see you on the other side....

Steve was a generous and helpful individual, that helped me back in a time that I was at my lowest. I will always be grateful and will try to be as gracious as he was to me. Rest in peace old friend, you will be missed.
