Even though it´s been a good 30 years that I have not seen or talked to Tom or his brother I can only go back to the days of where I went to Fruit-land Bible Baptist Institute at the same time as they Tom along with his brother were the most down to earth folks and they made you feel very welcome in their homes My daughters and I enjoyed the fellowship that we had for a short time but most of all staying with the call of serving our LORD JESUS CHRIST we will keep his family and friends in our prayers

My memories of Tom are limited to events that led him back to Raft Swamp, times he came with Ms. Mildred (a NUMBER ONE lady) to celebrate homecoming, Mother's Day, Christmas, and other events. And, oh, those wonderful times when he delivered the message for various reasons ( I was not a member when he pastored Raft Swamp) . I loved to hear his message and was never ready for it to stop. I felt as though I could have listened much longer than the allotted time. Just those short times of seeing and hearing him left an impression of a gentle loving soul that loved and served the Lord. I thank God for Tom and his family and am grateful for the times I was allowed to be where I could hear his teaching.
No doubt he will be sorely missed on this earth by family and friends and by some who knew him less well.
My prayers and condolences are with you in the times of grief, and I rejoice with you in the knowledge that Tom knew the Lord and his soul is safe with the Lord. May God bless ! Love to you all.
