Tommy Anderson Obituary
Black Mountain - Tommy Carroll Anderson, 54, of Black Mountain passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014.
Mr. Anderson was born November 12, 1960 in Buncombe County to Betty Jean Wright Anderson and the late Bobby Carroll Anderson.
Tommy was employed with Southern Lighting at the time of his passing and throughout his career was employed with Moss Sign Co. and Summey Outdoor Advertising. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, and he was an avid Duke Basketball fan. He loved the Lord and enjoyed sharing his faith of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Tommy was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and attended Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Anderson.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Swink Anderson; daughter, Jennifer Anderson Proctor (Michael) of Old Fort; son, Jonathan Thomas Anderson of Candler; mother, Betty Jean Wright Anderson; brothers, Gary Anderson (Sherry), Steve Anderson (Brenda), Tony Anderson, Kevin Anderson (Amy) and their families; and grandchildren, Kennedy Michelle and Isabella Elaine Proctor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church with Todd Royal and Craig Bulkeley officiating. Burial will be in Nesbitts Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
At other times, the family will be at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 32 Church Road, Fairview, NC 28730.
Arrangements are in the care of Harwood Home for Funerals.

Tommy I remember you were so fun and full of laughter.The sweetest cousin I could ever have.We lost touch but I always thought about you.The one memory I have is you and your five brothers sitting on grannys couch, three rocking forward while three were rocking backwards and I think you all were singing Raindrops Are Falling On My Head...Your family has lost a very special man I am sure , but God has gained another angel..

Dad, you are forever in my heart. I will take your memories everywhere I go. Losing you hurts more than anything I have ever experienced in my life. Your love will always shine bright on me, mom, Jon, Kennedy, and Bella. You touched every single one of us.
