Wanda Chaillet Obituary
Candler - Wanda Smith Chaillet, 82, of Candler, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center.
Born in Washington, D.C., Wanda was a daughter of the late Paul Benjamin and Rose May Hoffman Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thomas Chaillet.
She had worked for many years as a nanny and will be remembered for her tremendous love of children.
Mrs. Wanda Chaillet is survived by her daughters, Deb Milligan, of Summerville, SC, and Yvonne Chaillet, of Candler; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she was a member, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service for Mrs. Chaillet will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Patty Mouer officiating. The family invites everyone to join them for a reception in the church Parish Hall following the service. Wanda's cremains will be interred at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, joining her husband, Don.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

My two girls. Debbie and Yvonne, I am so sorry for our lose, Your mom and my friend, Wanda will be missed greatly. I loved her as sister. She taught me a lot about the valuable things in life. Never judged me for my many errors in life. I could count her to keep secrets. We more then heartfelt talk we share a lot of laughter. We stay in touch even though I moved to California 8 years ago. She loved and appreciated you both very much. Know this," you two were the best daughters in this world". Love you see you soon.
