D. Clark
Houston - Houston, Dr. William D. Clark, passed away on October 14, 2011.
A native of Waynesville, North Carolina, he was the son of Grover Cleveland Clark and Bonnie Morrow Clark. He was born May 5, 1943. Due to the early death of his parents, he was raised by his sister and brother-in-law, Grovene Clark Russell and the late W. Edwin Russell.
Dr. Clark was a graduate of Waynesville Township High School, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, U.N.C. Medical School and the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Clark completed a fellowship at M.D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, and he was board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He was the owner of Tidwell Medical Center, Clark Medical Center, Little York Medical Center, and Immigration Medical Center all of Houston, Texas. Dr. Clark was an Eagle Scout and Captain in the United States Army. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid U.N.C. football and basketball fan, a licensed pilot, and a very kind and generous father and employer. He was a former member of Waynesville First Baptist Church and a current member of Second Baptist Church of Houston, Texas.
In addition to his sister he is survived by three daughters, Jennifer and Kasey Clark of Houston, Texas and Pamela Clark Helms and husband, Grady, of Mandeville, Louisiana; a son, William Russell Clark and wife, Eva, of Vienna, Virginia; a niece who was raised as a sister, Vicki Russell Gordon and her husband, Mike, of Waynesville, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Hannah and Rebekah Helms; one grandson, Ian William Clark; three great-nieces, Caroline Ottinger, Camden Nelson, and Erin Russell; a great-nephew, William Russell; several great-great-nieces and nephews; and Linda Clark and Paula Clark, mothers of his children. He was preceded in death by a nephew (raised as a brother) E. Clark Russell.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011 in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Waynesville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Private burial will be held at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Rest in Paradise Dr Clark I grew up going to him as a kid me and my grandmother I´ve been looking for him for years so I could go back to him since my grandmother passed. I´m very sorry to hear he passed away so long ago. May God bless his soul.

I just found out about Dr. Clark today I am still in shock. He was basicly part of our family for about 30 years. He keep us well and in stitches as I was growing up then he took care of my children as they were growing up. He touched the lives of more people then he will every know . He was a Huge part of the Aldine Area.

I just found out this morning about Dr. Clark's passing from another physician that was a friend of his. In the short time he was my doctor he was very compassionate and very nice to myself and my family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and employees. God Bless you all. To Dr. Clarks family and staff...I read about Dr. Clark's death in the Harris County Newsletter and want to extend my sympathies to his family, many friends, and employees. I worked for Will and he was a good man and well liked physician. I have known him since 2000 and he worked tirelessly to make his practice go on so he could reach the poor and uninsured in as many clinics as he could keep open even after flooding from a hurricane and wind damage destroyed one of them. His good works will be remembered by all.

Dr. Clark was a precious man. He was dr.for 22 yrs.my husbands for 10 yrs. there was no else like him. we loved him dearly.
He was more than a dr to us.

"Hi Doc.," is how I always greeted him, once you met Dr. Clark you had a friend for life he just had a away of embracing you and giving you this level of comfort around him it didn't matter who you were what you did for a living or where you came from. Thank you Doc., for giving me the opportunity to serve you and your patients, for the care and concern you gave to my family and myself for always lending an ear and even having an answer for me, you will be greatly missed. the Dr. who finally diagnosed my severe arthritis correctly where I then had to start seeing a specialist. and I thank him for that. he will be missed. bambi farmer and family.

I was saddened today to see that Will had passed away. He was a very good friend for years. Unfortunately I had lost contact with him for the past few years. I remember him as a very giving friend who would literally give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He was fun to be around; He'll be truly remembered by me as a very significant person in my life who made a difference.

i have known dr.clark for about 7yrs he was a generous man,gave me the opportunity to work for him i grately appreciate that he was just not a boss he was a nice man he would try to help everybody. r. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Clark and getting to know him personally during his off time. He was a mentor to me and one of the kindest men I have ever known. I always enjoyed hearing him speak of his childhood and all of his interests. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, he will be greatly missed.
