Adrienne Lee Metcalf Lulewicz, 43, of Hanover Twp., passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, in Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, surrounded by family.
She was born Aug. 1, 1979, in Wilkes-Barre, the daughter of Charles III and Diane Metcalf. Adrienne was a 1997 graduate of Hanover Area High School.
Adrienne went on to obtain her degrees in elementary education and psychology from Wilkes University. For over 18 years, she worked for the School-Based Behavioral Health Program at Children's Service Center.
Adrienne was happiest outdoors and enjoyed swimming, fishing, kayaking and sitting around a campfire with family and friends. She loved all animals (except spiders), including several rescue dogs she took in.
Adrienne will be remembered for her sense of humor, fluency in sarcasm, colorful language, her uncanny ability to attract spiders, but most of all the compassion she showed family, friends and even strangers.
Adrienne was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and was the best listener and giver of advice.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Charles II and Effie Metcalf and William Wilke; and uncle, Paul Wilke.
In addition to her parents, Adrienne is survived by her grandmother, Audrey Wilke; stepmother, Holly Metcalf; and sister and best friend, Lindsey Charneski and her husband, Brian.
"Auntie Age" will be missed by her nephew, Colin "CJ" Charneski; and niece, Kaydence Charneski.
She is also survived by stepsister, Kimberly Forney; stepbrother, Chuck Forney and wife, Brandy; nieces, Kayla, Abigail and Taylor; aunt, Caryl Adams and husband, Ned; and aunt, Georgia Daniels and husband, Wayne.
Many family, friends and coworkers are left to cherish her memory.
At Adrienne's request, there will be no viewing or funeral. Family, friends and coworkers are invited to a celebration of life from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at R&D Memories, 566 Fellows Ave., Hanover Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal rescue organization of the donor's choice, or Gift of Life Howie's House, 401 Callowhill St., Philadelphia, PA 19123, giftoflifehowieshouse.org.

She was an amazing woman that lit up the darkest room. Her smile addicting yet highly contagious always gave you the sense of true love and friendship when you were with her. I will miss her dearly. I pray her light keeps shining so we all can find her and meet again. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family and to all of her friends. She will never stop being loved and will always be remembered and missed. Remind family and friends how much you love them. We are only here briefly.
