Anna Mattie

Anna Mattie, 94, a lifelong resident of Wyoming, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born Nov. 14, 1927, in Hazle Twp., Anna was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Bolhazy Fetchko.

Anna was a member of the former St. Joseph's Church, Wyoming.

Prior to her retirement, Anna was employed in the garment industry for many years.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, John Mattie; and her brother, Michael Fetchko.

Surviving are her children, Judie Sleboda and her husband, George, Palm Coast, Fla.; Pattie Klosowski and her husband, Bob, Shickshinny; John Mattie, Exeter; Kathie Troutman, Lusby, Md.; and Chris Reese and her husband, Jack, Everett; her grandchildren, Mark; Beth Ann; Chin; Jeffrey; Nicole; Lauren; and Travis; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Tiffany Court, Kingston, where Anna had been a resident for the last seven years, for going above and beyond caring for their mom. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, for their compassionate care of Anna.

A memorial service in celebration of Anna's life, will be held at future date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William St., Dunmore, PA 18510.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
