Anthony C. Bobowicz, 84, of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Born in Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Leo and Lillian Bobowicz.
He attended Nanticoke Area schools and served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force.
He returned home and earned his electrical licenses and later owned and operated Bobowicz Electrical.
He was a longtime member of the Nanticoke Masonic Lodge 332, Keystone Consistory, Scranton, and the Irem Shrine. He was also a member of the AmVets, Zepher Hills and American Legion Post 350, Nanticoke. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at masonic picnics and holidays parties.
He was an avid sports fan enjoying the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, Green Bay Packers and Penn State football.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorriane; and siblings, Patrica, Ed and Lillian.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Eileen Bobowicz; Donna Atkins and husband, David; Anthony Bobowicz and wife, Heidi; sister, Ann Marie Ceppa; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Faustina Parish, 520 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke. Interment will be in St Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lohman Funeral Home, 14 West Green St., Nanticoke.
We will follow the social distancing and face coverings CDC guidelines at the funeral home and graveside.
We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, social workers and therapists, Phillip and Jennifer, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center for their care and compassion.
