Anthony Scripkunas Obituary

Anthony A. Scripkunas, 62, of Pittston, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Pittston on Feb. 25, 1958, he was the son of the late August and Catherine Rizzo Scripkunas.

He was a 1976 graduate of Pittston Area High School, attended King's College and pursued employment with Service Master and Superior Cleaning.

Tony was a kind soul (a giver) and a great neighbor, always ready and willing to lend a hand.

He loved football and was an avid 49ers fan for many years.

He is survived by sister, Catherine Scripkunas, Pittston; with whom he resided with for most of his life. Also surviving are numerous aunts and cousins, most of who reside outside the area.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Twp.

All services were held privately at the family's convenience.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Tony was the first of the other children to be nice to me when my parents split in the 60's and I had to go to a different grade school. He was as described here, a kind soul.
