Bill Erdman Obituary

Bill Fredrick Erdman Sr., 71, of Briar Creek Borough, died Saturday, April 3, 2021, at home.

Born May 20, 1949, in Ionia, Mich., he was a son of the late Fred and Ruth Miller Erdman Petrie.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed in landscaping and construction. He also served as a prison chaplain. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Mountain Top.

He was a devoted born-again Christian who loved the Lord. He was a loving husband and father and loved his family unconditionally.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Erdman.

Surviving are his loving wife, Susan Gillis Erdman; children, Mary Erdman Farnum and her husband, Shawn; Bill Erdman Jr.; Brandy Lee Erdman Malia and her husband, Matthew; and Daniel Robert Erdman; stepdaughter, Linda Larish; grandchildren, Olivia Raquel Erdman; Jordan Baffile; Jaydan Baffile; Jasiah Baffile; Sicilla Erdman; Giavona Erdman; Arianna Farnum; and Gabriel Farnum; three brothers, John Petrie; Richard Erdman; and Gordy Petrie; and three sisters, Jody Cassel; Molly Cassel; and Diane Anthony.

A visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 77 N. Main St., Shickshinny, followed by a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. with Chaplain Michael Delp officiating. Due to the current restrictions, there will be specific protocols in place, including a requirement to wear a mask if you are planning to attend.

Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
