Carol Dobbs, 76, of Hanover Twp., passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Richard and Grace Evans Albrecht. Carol was a 1963 graduate of GAR Memorial High School, and she also attended Allied Medical and Technical School. Prior to her retirement, Carol had been employed as a board certified medical assistant at the office of Dr. William Clearfield.
Carol was a former member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the Puritan Congregational Church, Wilkes-Barre. She enjoyed crafting and attending water aerobics at the YMCA. She will be dearly missed by her sons and family and by her beloved dog, Gracie.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Albrecht, Ruth Albrecht and and Dorothy Widman.
Surviving are her sons, Brian Dobbs and his wife, Shelly, Wilkes-Barre; and David Dobbs and his wife, Lisa, Bear Creek Twp.; grandchildren, Steven Dobbs and Kira Dobbs; sister, Lois Albrecht, Wilkes-Barre; niece, Lori Albrecht; and nephew, Ron Widman.
Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol's memory to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
