So very sorry for your loss. I worked with Carol at Kindred years ago and she was affectionately known as " Ma Howard". What a great loss. Knew she was ill before Thanksgiving and was trying to contact Doug to come see her. Sorry I missed the viewing, I was unaware of her untimely passing. Deepest sympathies.

I hope the family reads posts from the GHMH Retirees - and GHMH Friends page with all the comments from some of us who worked with Carol over the years. I believe she was known to every dept. I worked at GHMH 36 years. I knew her most of those years. I started in mental health and even knew her from there. When I was in Case management, she would always take time to present the patients overall condition. She was always working but always pleasant, sympathetic, kind, and very knowledgeable. She was the best example of a nurse. Sympathy to all her family.

I am sad to hear about Carol's passing. I worked with Carol at GHMH in the 80's. She was one of the best nurses I had the honor to work with. She dedicated her entire life to caring for others showing respect and dignity to all. The last time I saw her was when I visited a Nursing Home. There she was, working extra hours at a 2nd job. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. Doug, I am thinking of you at this difficult time. Debra Becker
