Cornelia "Corny" Williams, 76, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Corny was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Cornelius "Neil" Miller and Stella Simchak. She was a graduate of G.A.R. High School, Wilkes-Barre. Prior to her retirement in December of 2016, Corny had been the owner and operator of Corny's Beauty Salon, Wilkes-Barre.
She was a member of St. Boniface Church, Wilkes-Barre, until its closing, and she was a current member of St. Andrew Parish, Wilkes-Barre. Corny was a member of St. Boniface Liturgy Committee, and she also served as a lector there. Corny and her husband, Bob supervised the "Little Lambs" children's program at St. Boniface.
Corny was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams Jr., in August of 2009; and by her siblings, Neil Miller and Lois Rodriguez.
Surviving are her children, Robert Williams III and his wife, Lorrie; Dorothy "Dee" Brotzman; Wendy Williams; Debi Weisgerber; and Neal Williams; 15 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. in St. Andrew Parish, 316 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

My mother Mary Jones always went to Corny`s every Friday morning and looked forward to her hair appointment. My mothers hair appointment was a much of a social visit as it was a hair appointment.
