Daniel R. Cragle, 72, born Nov. 12, 1948, a resident of The Village at Greenbriar, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Roberta Watts Cragle, Hunlock Creek.

He served his country with the U.S. Army in Japan during the Vietnam War and attained the rank of sergeant.

Dan was a very quiet and generous person who will be missed by many.

Surviving is a brother, Gary Cragle, Shickshinny; sisters, Sharon Hontz, Shickshinny; and Margie Eastwood, Hunlock Creek; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of The Village at Greenbriar. They truly are wonderful and they became his family when we could not be with him. Because of their love and support he was able to spend the past two years enjoying a better quality of life, and for that we are grateful.

We also would like to thank the staff at Residential Hospice at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre for their exceptional care and support along with the staff at The Gardens at East Mountain for making his remaining days peaceful.

Per his request, no services will be held.

Arrangements are in the care of Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek.
