Daniel Hudzik Obituary
He was born in Nanticoke on Feb. 9, 1941, and was the son of the late Stanley and Victoria Biga Hudzik.
Daniel graduated from Lake Lehman High School, Class of 1959. He worked at Techniglass, Pittston, as a supervisor, traveling twice to Korea and once to East Germany with his job. Following retirement, he worked as a handyman for several branches of a local bank.
Daniel was a member at Roaring Brook Baptist Church for most of his life and was active with the Sweet Valley Volunteer Ambulance and Fire Company. He also enjoyed hunting and exercising at PRO Rehab with his son, traveling, having gone to all 50 states, and was engaged in country line dancing for several years with his wife, Alberta.
He was also president of the Lake-Lehman Band Booster Club and was on the school board.
Daniel had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed caring for his property. He also enjoyed traveling to Maine to attend his grandsons ice hockey and soccer events.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, the former, Alberta Shaw.
He is survived by son, Daniel Hudzik (Alison), Kingston; daughter, Ronda Wasser (Scott), Scarborough, Maine; sister, Dolores Werhun, Hunlock Creek; grandson, Brandon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Kelly Goss who was instrumental in caring for him in his final days.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Monday from Roaring Brook Baptist Church, 332 Prichards Rd., Hunlock Creek, with the Rev. Zack Chamberlain, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek, at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., state Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Roaring Brook Baptist Church, 332 Prichards Rd, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621. Condolences may be made at clswansonfuneralhome.com#

Dan, Ronda and family
We were saddened to learn of Dan´s passing. We lived in Sweet Valley for many years and Dan was one of the nicest, friendliest guys I knew. Whenever we ran into each other he was never in a hurry...he always took time to stop and chat and ask about our families. He was a credit to the community. We wish you all blessings, peace and comfort in this difficult time.
