David M. Pilch

David M. Pilch, 68, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Dave was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Andrew Sr. and Josephine Skoronski Pilch. He attended Marymount Grade School, was a graduate of GAR Memorial High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. Dave was employed as head maintenance supervisor at the Osterhout Free Library and earlier employed at Help Line and CJ's Pizza. Dave was formerly active with the Boy Scouts of America. Dave had a passion for gardening and a love of history. He had a funny personality and a heart of gold. Everyone who knew him will miss him dearly. Rest in peace our "Comeback Kid."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Pilch Jr.

Surviving are his sisters, Barbara Myzick and her husband, Gerald, Ashley; and Rosemarie Pilch, Wilkes-Barre, with whom he resided; sister-in-law, Geraldine Durgio-Pilch; nieces and nephews, Amanda Myzick-Azaizeh; Gerald Myzick Jr.; Christopher Myzick; Andrew Pilch III; Andrea Bidding; Lisa Belles; Jeffrey and Adrian Pilch; great-nieces and nephews, Jessica and Sarah, Brooke and Nathan, Cody and Dalton; great-great-niece, Aubrianna. Beloved pets, Amy Jo and Maggie Mae.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Fatima Parish at St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception, 134 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in St. Mary's of the Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming.

Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday in the church.
