Donald Engle, 69, of Harveys Lake, passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre Oct. 21, 1952, and was the son of the late Harold and Rosemary Hennebaul Engle.

Donald graduated from Lake-Lehman High School in 1970, and was employed by Inter Metro Industries, Wilkes-Barre, for many years until his retirement three years ago. His passion was cutting and splitting firewood, working on his farm and he was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard and William Engle; and nephew, Jeff Engle.

Donald is survived by his brother, Robert Engle, Harveys Lake; sister, June Steele and her husband, Robert, Sweet Valley; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Deacon Eugene Blockus, of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Private interment will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
