Dorothy Luchetti Obituary

Dorothy Luchetti, 83, of Plains Township, passed away Saturday evening, Nov. 5, 2016, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Nehrebecki) Lulis.

Dorothy was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1950, was a homemaker and housewife and was employed in the area garment industry.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Plains Township, and currently Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis S. Luchetti, on March 20, 2006 and brother, Eugene Lulis.

Surviving are her daughters, Michelle Luchetti and Teresa Luchetti, both of Plains Township; and Kim Bornstein and husband, Steve, Breinigsville; sons, Louis Luchetti and wife, Susanne, and Michael Luchetti and wife, Debbie, all of Plains Township; granddaughters, Maria, Helene and Kady Luchetti, Michelle Hunt and husband, Paul, and Ava Bornstein; sisters, Mary Ann D'Amico, West Seneca, N.Y.; and Alyce Gelley, Niskayuna, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy's family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center-East Mountain and Compassionate Hospice Care for the wonderful care given to Dorothy. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Dorothy's nephew, Jay Luchetti, for his guidance and support during this difficult time.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Township, with the Rev. John C. Lambert, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plains Township.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania, 57 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, in Dorothy's memory.

To the Lachetti Family, I'm am truly sorry for your loss, I loved mom with all my heart, It was a great pleasure to have the chance to know mom take care of her..
