Edward "Ed" Joseph Casella, 40, of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, the son of Edward and Alice Dylewski Casella, of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre. Ed graduated from Coughlin High School and Wilkes-Barre Vocational School, Class of 2000. He later attended Fortis Institute in the Electrical Trade Program. Ed was employed at Interstate Building Materials, Pittston.
To those who knew him, he always brightened up a room with his sense of humor.
Ed was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Alberta Casella; and Eugene and Helen Dylewski.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Emma, at home; brother, Brian and his wife, Bonnie, Kingston; and best friend, Walter "Wally" Danko, Plains Twp.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Richard J. Cirba officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to Citizens Bank for his daughter, Emma Casella, where a trust fund has been set up in her name.
