Edward Price

Edward John Price, 82, of Laflin, died Sunday, June 4, 2017, in the Post Acute Medical Unit, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, following an accident at home.

Born in Plymouth, son of the late Michael and Mary Z. Price, he was a graduate of Jenkins High School, Jenkins Twp.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of St. Maria Goretti's Church, Laflin.

He was retired from Panel Prints, Old Forge, where he was employed for 20 years.

Edward's interests were going to the track at the Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching nature programs and old-fashioned westerns.

Edward was preceded in death by his loving parents and his brothers, John Price and Henry Sobolefski.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, the former Josephine "Peppy" Saporito; his children, Edward and Lori, both of Laflin; brother, Michael and his wife, Marion, Inkerman; and nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Maria Goretti Church in Edward's memory.
