Elizabeth Dobbs Obituary

Elizabeth A. Kitchen Dobbs, 54, of Steele Street, Hanover Green section of Hanover Twp., passed away peacefully Saturday, July 29, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre on July 25, 1963, the daughter of the late Edward R. Sr. and Elizabeth Smith Kitchen.

Elizabeth was a member of the graduating Class of 1981 of Hanover Area High School.

Throughout the years she was employed by the Luzerne County Courthouse, Friedman Express, the Heartland Check Co., Wise Potato Chip Co. and most recently CVS/Caremark Co.

Elizabeth will always be remembered as a selfless person who always put others before herself. She will also be remembered as a devoted mother and wife. Her pride and joy was always her beloved family.

Preceding her in death were her sons, Phillip Stanislow and Edward Stanislow III.

Surviving are her husband of 14 years, Paul W. Dobbs; daughter, Elizabeth Ashlee Dobbs, at home; stepsons, David Dobbs, Bear Creek; and Brian Dobbs, Wilkes-Barre; brothers, James Kitchen, Mountain Top; Edward Kitchen, Wapwallopen; and Frederick Kitchen, Berwick; and sister, Sandra Ammons, Harveys Lake. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Lacey's Restaurant, 444 E. Main St., Nanticoke.

Arrangements are by George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley.

Aunt Lisa, it's been many years since we spoke and my mom's funeral was the last I saw you. Then I'm told you are gone. I'll miss you.
