Geraldine M. Pucci

Geraldine M. (Jeri) Pucci, 87, of East Broad Street, Nanticoke passed away early Thursday morning, November 8, 2018 at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township where she resided for the past four years.

Born Aug. 20, 1931 in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Stawach) Petroski. She resided in Nanticoke her entire life and was a graduate of Nanticoke High School, Class of 1949.

She married Enrico (Rick) Pucci on April 24, 1954.

In addition to raising her five children, Geraldine also worked outside of the home and had a career as a social worker for Luzerne County Children and Youth Services for over 15 years, until retiring.

She was a member of Nebo Baptist Church, Nanticoke. She was an avid gardener.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Pucci on January 5, 1989 and a daughter-in-law, Maureen, on April 19, 2018, following a 33 year marriage to her son, Rick Pucci.

Surviving are her husband, Enrico, with whom she celebrated 64 years of marriage on April 24th; children, Rick Pucci, Chicago, IL, Eileen Morrell and husband, Doug of Aledo, TX, Michael Pucci and wife, Stephanie of Shickshinny and Paula Marie Pucci of Nanticoke; grandchildren, Richard Pucci Jr. and wife, Jenni, Scarlett Pucci, David Morrell, Christina Morrell and Cassandra Sutton; two great grandchildren, Josiah and Caleb Sutton; a brother, Stanley "Bunny" Petroski and wife, Sylvia, Wilkes-Barre; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke with Pastor Timothy G. Hall of Nebo Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Sheatown.

Viewing and period of visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
