Helen Catherine Musyt Adamski, of Hanover Twp., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021.
Helen was born April 13, 1932, in Throop, to the late George and Anna Musyt. She graduated from Throop High School in 1949, with the honor of salutatorian. Following her education, she worked for 15 years in the garment industry. In 1959, she married Edward J. Adamski and together they had three children, Christine, Edward G. and Carl.
Helen would share her last crust of bread or the clothes off her back with anyone in need. Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, friend, confidante, teacher, nurse, therapist, cook, baker, seamstress, chauffeur, caregiver; Helen held many important roles and dedicated her life to those she cared for deeply.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward J. Adamski. Her remarkable legacy will continue through her children, Christine Newberry and husband, Stephen; Edward G. Adamski; and Carl Adamski and wife, Lisa Collazo; grandchildren, Nicole Allen and husband, Clayton; Danielle Newberry; and Kayleigh Prettyman; several nieces and nephews; and many grand/great-grand puppies and kitties.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, 420 Main Road, Hanover Twp.
Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday in the church prior to the Mass.
At the wishes of Helen, and for the safety of her loved ones, we ask that everyone in attendance wear a mask.
Memorial donations may be made to any of the causes Helen had great passion for: Candy's Place Cancer Wellness Center; Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center; Pancreatic Cancer Cure Foundation; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; Special Olympics; and Padre Pio Foundation of America.
