Helen Michaels Obituary
Born in St. Clair, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Sophie Pituch Oliar.
Helen was a member of St. Faustina Parish, Nanticoke.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (Butch) Michaels, in 1987, and her sister, Sophie.
Surviving are her son, Joseph M. Michaels, Pittston; daughter, Susan DelVecchio and her husband, Anthony, Dupont; and brother, John Hook, Nanticoke.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday from Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 173 E. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at St. Faustina Parish, alternate site, 1030 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke. The Rev. James Nash will officiate. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
