Irene Emil Obituary
Irene Emil, 77, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at Highland Manor Nursing Center.
Born in Dallas, she was the daughter of the late Asa and Irene Andrews Shotwell.
Irene was a devoted wife and mother, raising her children. She was a life member of the DAV Auxiliary #102 Kingston. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo.
Irene was preceded in death by brothers, Asa, Harold, George and Byron Shotwell; and sister, Eileen McDonald.
Surviving are her husband, John M. Emil Sr.; sons, John Emil Jr., Luzerne; Rodney Emil and Gavin Wilson, Kingston; brother, Carl Shotwell; three grandchildren, Rebecca, John III and Robert Emil; and two great-grandchildren, Emely and Elly Casterline.
Funeral will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Hwy., Dallas.
