Joan Kruk Obituary
Joan Louise Kruk, 79, of Alexandria, Va., and a native of Nanticoke, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022 in Alexandria, Va.
Born Feb. 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Leon and the late Wanda Talarski. She was married to her beloved husband, Daniel Raymond Kruk, for 54 years until his passing on Aug. 27, 2019.
Joan served her community as a registered nurse until retiring. She enjoyed the beach, traveling and being with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed and forever cherished by all.
She was a loving mother to two daughters, Jeannette Creger; and Aileen Smith and her husband, Kevin; dear grandmother to four grandchildren, Christopher Creger; Jeremy Creger; Caitlin DeVoll and her husband, AJ; and Madison Smith; a sister, Sandra Padgett and her husband, Charles; a niece, Elizabeth Padgett; and a nephew, Michael Padgett.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday in Basilica of St. Mary, Alexandria, Va.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Nanticoke.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Kruk's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Local arrangements are in the care of Dinelli Family Funeral Home Inc., 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke.
