JoAnn Decker Obituary
JoAnn Decker, 57, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021.
Born Nov. 2, 1964, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Carol Decker and the late Gerald Decker. She was a graduate of Meyers High School, Class of 1982. JoAnn was a member of the Exeter VFW Post 6518 as well as the American Legion.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her loving father.
In addition to her mother, Carol Decker, JoAnn is survived by her pride and joy, her son, Rocco Rodano; sister and best friend, Jayne Nargoski and husband, Dave Nargoski; niece and nephews, Taylor, David and Jacob Nargoski, whom she loved as her own; as well as many beloved cousins and friends who were like family.
Jo was a free spirit who always had a smile on her face that could light up any room. A beautiful person inside and out with a heart of gold and a contagious soul filled with kindness. She could always be found with her Yeti in hand ready to dance the night away. She was an avid lover of the outdoors and the sunshine. She loved spending her days camping by the creek or laying poolside with a cocktail.
The world became a darker place the day we lost her, and we will miss her every single day until we meet again. We find peace in knowing she is reunited with her daddy again.
Arrangements are from Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services and will be held privately due to the pandemic.

I am so very sorry for the loss of Joann. I met Joann in 4th grade during the flood and we became close friends. We went to high school together and made so many great memories. We continued our friendship after graduation and have kept in touch all these years. She was so kind and fun and such a beautiful friend inside and out. I will miss her so much. God bless all of you. So sorry for your loss. The Deckers were part of my families lives as we grew up a few houses apart on Birch Street. JoAnn was an exceptional person and someone that was always kind to an akward little boy who didn't fit in. My thoughts and prayes to Jayne and the family at this tremendous loss of life.
