John Anthony Patte Jr., 57, of Dupont, passed away following a brief illness Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022.
He was born July 20, 1965, to John Anthony Patte Sr. and the late Patricia Ann Coyne Patte.
John's heart was gentle and big as was his love for his family and friends. John would lend a helping hand to anyone in need and his kindness and open heart made him easy to love and difficult to forget. The gift of his friendship will remain alive in those close to him.
John is survived by his father, John Patte Sr. and his wife, Lucia, Drums; sisters, Ardra Orr and her husband, David, Homestead, Fla.; and Deann, Dupont; nephew, Bryan Orr, Auburn Hills, Mich.; and nieces, Alison Orr, Anaheim, Calif.; and Caitlyn Orr, Tallahasse, Fla.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann Coyne Patte; and his brother, Troy Patte.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, and so very dear."
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Mt. Carmel Parish Church, 241 William St., Pittston. Interment will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are made from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.

I am so very sorry. Sending so much love to you all. John was too young to leave but I hope your memories bring you some peace as this time.

Oh Johnny, wat happened my friend we were supposed 2 spend Christmas eve together,soon sad, john , we became friends 1yr ago on 9-11-21, u were a very good friend 2me, I hope I told u enough ,I hope u watch over me & sister,& baby, u always did worry about me, as I did u, when I knew u really needed me I came, I hope ur sitting n my kitchen w/ me watching me type this, u always worried bout me& as I did u john i love u john john to be continued remember lol
To John's father & sister's & friend Geri, my heart aches for you guys it's hard I know, & john told me what him& his family's been thru w/ his brother & mother, just know that he's w/ them now, & he loved them, we sat # cemetery & cried over our losses. John had a good heart & he did love family & friends, God Bless you, just know he's in a better place& @ peace. But too soon my deepest prayers to all of you.god bless prayers prayers
