Joseph J. Kuranovich Jr., 57, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at Kingston Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
He was born in Swoyersville, a son of Rosemary Glaush Kuranovich of Swoyersville and the late Joseph J. Kuranovich Sr. Joseph was a 1981 graduate of Bishop O'Reilly High School, Kingston. He had previously been employed as a operation manager for Mid-State Lumber, Kingston.
Joseph was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Wilkes-Barre. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing with Pee Wee, and he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving are his wife, Roberta "Bobbie" Tomczak Kuranovich, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Krystal McCoy and her husband, Jeff, Pittston; brother, Dave Kuranovich, Swoyersville; and six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
