Kenneth John Harvey "Wolfe," 61, of Noxen, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp., surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Kingston on Sept. 26, 1960, and was the son of the late Gilbert and Theresa Kuharcik Harvey.
He graduated from Lake-Lehman High School, Class of 1978, and served in the U.S. Army for a brief time. He was employed as a painter for a local autobody shop, and was currently employed as a flagger for Century Security Services, Wilkes-Barre. Kenneth was a member of the Harveys Lake American Legion Post 0967, the South Mountain Land Association, Camp Felton and the Noxen-Monroe Sportsman's Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, capturing rattlesnakes for the Rattlesnake Roundup in Noxen and collecting eggs with the "Littles." He also enjoyed going to the island with his girlfriend, Jessica, attending family parties and making people laugh (His nieces and nephews loved his worm dance). He also enjoyed an ice cold MGD.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Richard Harvey and Fred Mihal.
He is survived by brothers, George Harvey and his wife, Ruby, West Virginia; John Mihal and his wife, Marlene, Hampstead, N.H.; Michael Harvey and his wife, Roberta, Fleetville; and Timothy Harvey, Old Forge; sisters, Christine "Tina" Chesniak and her husband, Luke, Old Forge; and Patricia Harrison and her fiancée, David Lippa, Shavertown; girlfriend, Jessica Murphy, Noxen; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and "Littles."
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and that memorial donations can be made to Noxen-Monroe Sportsman's Association, 175 Main St., Noxen, PA 18636.
