Loretta Przypek, 78, of Suscon, Pittston Twp., died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 22, 2020, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. She was the widow of Simon Przypek who passed away in 1991.
She was born in Dupont, daughter of the late John and Julia Kutza Czachor, and was a graduate of Dupont High School. She retired from Harper & Row Publishers, Dunmore.
She was an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, where she enjoyed making pierogi. She had a great love for all animals especially her cats Rosie and Casey.
Surviving are sons, Mark and wife Lisa, Duryea; Jeff and fiancee, Renee, Centermoreland; daughter, Christine Davis and husband, Bill, Lewes, Del.; grandson, Matthew; sister, Joan Antidormi and husband, Joe, Madisonville; her best friend, Barbara Sito, Dupont; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont, to be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas J. Petro, pastor. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
There will be no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Blue Chip Farm Animal Rescue, 874 Lockville Road, Dalla, PA 18612.
Lokuta-Zawacki Funeral Home, 200 Wyoming Ave., Dupont, is in charge of arrangements.
