Maria E. Button, 60, of Mountain Top, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Ursula Anthony.
Maria earned her master's degree in psychology from the University of Scranton and worked for Northeast Counselling Center for many years. She was a member of St. Jude's Church in Mountain Top.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Button Jr.; a daughter, Ashleigh Marie Button; stepson, Robert Button III and wife, Allison; a brother, Robert Anthony; and a grandson, Slade, all of Mountain Top.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Jude's Church. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time.
McCune Funeral Service is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA in Wilkes-Barre would be appreciated.
