Mary Doyle Obituary

Mary Doyle, 101, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021 at her residence while under the care of Hospice of the Sacred Heart. Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Bonchonsky Zapko and was a graduate of Pittston High School.

Mary was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake, and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was very much involved in the Lady of Fatima Devotion. Mary enjoyed her family, friends and her social life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 2002; sisters, Betty, Anne and Helen; and brothers, John, George and Michael.

Surviving are her children, Barbara Ruda and her husband, Ronald, Dallas; and Joseph Doyle, Tunkhannock; daughter-in-law, Karen Doyle; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Zapko.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Hwy., Dallas, and 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
