Michael Janc Obituary
Born Oct. 19, 1963 in La Porte, Indianapolis, he was a son of the late Emil Joseph and Charlotte Fencl Janc.
Michael was a graduate of St. Jude's School in Mountain Top and Bishop Hoban High School in Wilkes-Barre. He earned his baccalaureate degree from King's College.
He was employed by Hart Electronics in Kingston and was most recently manager of Rex TV & Electronics.
Michael was a fan of the Chicago Bears. He had a passion for fishing, riding ATVs and playing drums. He enjoyed caring for his beloved mother and spending time with the family dog, Rocky.
He will be greatly missed by his mother, Charlotte Janc, Bear Creek Village; sister, Therese and her husband, Robert G. Smith, Mountain Top; brother, Joseph E. Janc, Esq., Bear Creek Township; niece, Aubrey Smith and nephew, Ethan Smith, Mountain Top; other family and friends.
A celebration of Michael's life will begin Wednesday with visitation at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Elizabeth in Bear Creek. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Bear Creek.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to the Church of St. Elizabeth.
McLaughlin's — The Family Funeral Service is assisting Michael's family with arrangements.

I only knew Mike because I worked with him at Rex but With Mike you were never able to be in a bad mood around him because he would find a reason to make you laugh. He will be missed by all that had the chance to know him.

So very sorry to hear about Michael's passing. I remember days at St. Jude's and Bishop Hoban sharing jokes and laughs. Michael was soft spoken and always a good and loyal friend. I was so impressed with his drum playing. Joe, Therese and Mrs. Janc, may fond memories bring you some ease during this time. May he rest in peace.

I went to high school with Mike and ran into him a few times over the years. He was a good man, always had a smile on his face and put everyone around him in a good mood. One might say the life of the party. May he rest in peace.

Charlotte & Family...I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of your dear Michael...taken to soon. But God's ways are not our ways, and we can be comforted with the teaching of our faith that "absent from the body is present with the Lord". May you be comforted by the love and prayers of your family and friends and knowing that your beloved Emil and Michael are celebrating a beautiful reunion in heaven.
