Michael J. Kelly passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Born July 7, 1967, in Denville, N.J., he was the son of Noreen Imelda Kelly, of Rockaway, N.J., and the late Joseph Francis Kelly.
Michael was a 1985 graduate of Morris Knolls High School, New Jersey, and attended Sussex County Community College and Drew University.
He was employed as a security guard at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Hanover, N.J.
Michael served as a specialist with the U.S. Army and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm.
Michael was an avid collector of toys from his childhood era. He enjoyed gaming, music, was a cinephile and history buff and loved hockey.
Surviving are his wife, the former Susan Tarantino Rouse, with whom he was married 31 years; son, Brandon Kelly; daughter, Alaina Kelly, both at home; sister, Eileen Frank and her husband, Chris, Exton; cat, Katherine; and dog, Chance Chompers Kelly.
Funeral services followed by military honors will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday from Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time.
