Patricia Patie Chester, 59, of Pittston, died Saturday evening, May 8, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of George Chester, whom she married on June 14, 2016.

She was born in Spring Brook, daughter of Albert Aston, Springbrook, and was a member of Holy Mother of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, Dupont.

She had a great love of family and enjoyed crocheting, crafts and spending time outdoors up the mountain.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Slezak, on Aug. 3, 2008; and her grandmother, Stella Aston, who raised her.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and father, are daughters, Loretta Gallagher and husband, Chris, Cranberry Twp.; Stephanie Slezak, Ponte Verde, Fla.; stepdaughter, Michele Chester, Pittston; grandchildren, Alexia, Sofia, Isabella, Angelina, Faith, Hope, Brianna, Kyle and Kira; brother, David Powell and wife, Virginia, Spring Brook; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday from Lokuta-Zawacki Funeral Home, 200 Wyoming Ave., Dupont, with the Very Rev. Zbigniew Dawid officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
