Patricia McNamee Rogers, 66, of Duryea, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Patricia was born Oct. 25, 1955, to John "Jack" and Murial Stevenson McNamee of Monroeville.
She graduated from Gateway Senior High School in 1973 and later Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, and College Misericordia, Dallas, in 1991. Patricia was employed for over 20 years as a occupational therapist at Sewickley Valley Hospital. Patricia married Richard Rogers in 1992 and had one daughter, Anamarie, in 1997.
Patricia enjoyed painting, sewing and creating many different types of art and hand-made gifts. She was an avid reader, baker and animal lover. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. She and her husband, Richard, also enjoyed raising and training puppies to become seeing eye dogs for the blind. Patricia had always loved children and brought a smile to the faces of all around her. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Maureen Tegethoff.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Richard Rogers; her daughter, Anamarie, Duryea; her siblings, Janice Sepcoski and husband, John, Bear Creek; Bonnie Flynn and husband, Kevin, North Carolina; Peg Torch and husband, Mike, New Hampshire; Thomas McNamee and wife, Cookie, Cranberry Twp.; Richard McNamee and wife, Linda, Baden; John "Otis" McNamee, Monroeville; and Kenneth McNamee, Monroeville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 217 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont, with the Rev. Thomas Petro officiating. Friends may call for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church for the Mass; there will be no procession from the funeral home. Interment will take place in Pittsburgh.
