My sincere sympathies to the Clarke family upon the passing of Ray. We in the anthracite preservation community always appreciated his heroic efforts on behalf of the Huber Breaker and the breaker site. We lost the former but we still have the latter, thanks to Ray. I personally enjoyed talking to and visiting with him because he was always upbeat and smiling. (I always enjoyed visiting the Irish story, often with my in-laws from Kingston, even having lunch there a few times.) I well remember when he called here in Wisconsin and asked for help with the wording on the memorial monument in the breaker park. Ray was a true hero both in the Valley and elsewhere in his life, and I know that you will not only mourn his loss but celebrate all that he accomplished and gave to everyone, including his family. With kindest regards, Bob
