Robert Antal

Robert "Bobby" Antal, 56, of Pittston Twp. (Suscon), passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, June 3, 1966, he was the son of Janet Lucas Antal, Hughestown; and the late Robert Antal.

Bobby was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and attended Johnson College, Scranton. He had been employed at Tobyhanna Army Depot.

Bobby was an avid hunter who loved his annual hunting trips to the Adirondacks, heading up to the picnic table during deer season, and his turkey and rabbit hunts with his son, family and very beloved friends.

Bobby was also an avid fisherman and loved tournament bass fishing with his partners, Dave or Matt (Antal2X). He also enjoyed salmon trips to New York and was always up for a day of trout fishing or ice fishing with the boys. Most of all, Bobby loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Antal, in 2021.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife and best friend, Lisa Hintze Antal; daughter, Bailee Switzer and her husband, Christian, Dallas; and SSG Matthew Antal, Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Cole and Lennon Switzer; brother, David Antal and his wife, Chrissy, Pittston; mother-in-law, Susan Hintze, Hughestown; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his Nitro Z9.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Adonizio Funeral Home LLC, 251 William St., Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, 535 N. Main St., Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Assumption Cemetery, Hughestown.
