Robert Ralston Obituary

Robert M. Ralston Sr., 80, of Duryea, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at Allied Services Hospice Center, South Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Pittston on May 15, 1941, he was the son of the late Anna Pechalonis Ralston. He was a graduate of Jenkins Twp. High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. He had retired as an electrician for General Dynamics. In his earlier years, he had worked for Topps and Pagnotti Enterprises. He was a member of the American Legion, Pittston.

Robert was an avid hunter and golfer. His grandchildren were his pride and joy - he loved attending their sporting events and activities. He was the "caretaker" of the Ralston Farms and Hunting Cabin; as well as the Duryea Little League. He enjoyed spring golf trips to Myrtle Beach with his brothers.

Special thank you to the group at My Sister's Kitchen and his personal driver, Jimmy Lavelle. Sincere thank you to Dr. Charles Manganiello for the many years he had cared for Robert.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Struzzieri Ralston; brothers, Thomas, Alfred and Kenneth Ralston; and sisters, Jean Morreale; and Nancy Naples.

Surviving are his sons, Bob Ralston Jr., Duryea; Ron Ralston and his wife, Jeanine, Duryea; grandchildren, Sydney, Kyle, Hunter and Jordan Ralston; sisters, Jane Lombardi, New Jersey; Ida Ide, Exeter; and Ann Dieso and her husband, Charles, Jenkins Twp.; brothers, Eugene Ralston and his wife, Joan, Wyoming; and Jimmy Ralston and his wife, Toni, Old Forge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Adonizio Funeral Home LLC, 251 William St., Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church Saturday morning. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Phoenix Street, Duryea.
