Ronald "Ron" Berlinski, 73, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, at the home in which he was born.
Born in Avoca, Dec. 14, 1948, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Kolander Berlinski.
Ron was a member of Queen Of The Apostles Parish Church, Avoca. He was a student of the first graduating class of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1967. Immediately after graduating, he sought employment with Schott Optical, Duryea, and retired after 35 years of employment.
Ron was a very devoted husband to his late wife, Margaret "Peggy" Berlinski, who died on Feb. 20, 2016. He dedicated his world to his family and was active and supportive in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
Ron enjoyed the outdoors; he loved to spend time caring for his garden; he loved his animals, watching local sports teams, Penn State football, the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies baseball. He was also a very avid fan of wrestling. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
His children survive him, Tracy Berlinski, Avoca; John, Union Dale; and Jay, Avoca. Also surviving are his granddaughters, Kala and her fiancé, Troy Klush; and Evelyn Below.
Ron's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital and would also like to thank his wonderful neighbors that were always there to lend a helping hand with a special thanks to Jeff and Chrissy Brayer.
