Ronald Eugene Eroh Sr., 87, of West Nanticoke, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023.
Born Jan. 31, 1935, he was the son of the late Lee and Gladys Moyer Eroh of Hobbie.
Ron was a graduate of Nescopeck High School, Class of 1951.
Ron proudly served in the U.S. Army at Fort Gordan, Georgia; and Mannheim, Germany.
Prior to retirement, Ron drove a tractor trailer for numerous companies, including Wise Potato Chips, Berwick. Ron was awarded the million mile safety award along with other safety awards. After retirement, Ron worked for Wegmans for 16 years in the produce department. He enjoyed meeting new people and talking to everyone.
Ron was a member of the Plymouth Twp. Recreation Association and the Plymouth Twp. Volunteer Fire Company. He was a Boy Scout leader and Little League coach.
He enjoyed woodworking, traveling and going on cruises. He also liked putting puzzles together and playing games, Mexican Train and Scrabble being his favorites.
Ron was an avid Penn State football and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins fan.
He cherished spending time with his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lights of his life.
Ron had a magnetic and caring personality. He had an amazing character and he was humorous, loving and patient. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Eroh; and sisters, Joan Gearhart and Gloria Holter.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, the former Ann Przywara. On Dec. 30, 2022, Ron and Ann celebrated 61 years of marriage.
He is also survived by his children, Ronald Eroh Jr. (Sharon), Raleigh, N.C.; James Eroh (Darlene), Plymouth; Patricia Mankovich (Shannon), West Nanticoke; and Tamara Springer (Frank), West Nanticoke; grandchildren, Justin Eroh (Alexis), Plymouth; Heather Wanyo (Eric); Mountain Top; Natalie Eroh, Garner, N.C.; Christina Pipan (Jonathan), McLean, Va.; and Brian Springer, West Nanticoke; great-grandchildren, Carter and Mckenzie Wanyo, and Emily and Jordan Eroh; several nieces, nephews and in-laws; siblings, William Eroh (Joan), Murrells Inlet, S.C.; Marilyn Felock (Joseph), Little River, S.C.; and Craig Eroh (Joan), Nescopeck.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, with the Rev. James Nash officiating. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Hanover Twp.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at S.J. Gronkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the disabled veterans of America or The Shriner's Children's Hospital in Ron's memory.

Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends, Ron was an amazing person. A lot of great memories from our old Ply Twp Fire days , we had a great crew back then. RIP Ron.

My deepest condolences and sympathy to Mrs Eroh and Families. Mr Ron Eroh was a Good man hard worker and loved his family. He did so much for the kids and community of Plymouth Township Recreation Association. He was good friend of my dad / family. He was one of the backbones of the Association. A Great Family man.
