Ronald P. Feifer, 77, of Forty Fort, passed away Tuesday evening, March 29, 2022, in the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Sidney and Dorothy Cohen Feifer and was a graduate of Saranac Lake High School, New York, and was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston.
After high school, Ronald enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving during Vietnam. In the Navy, Ron worked with Morse code, translating messages.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Feifer.
Ronald is survived by his wife, the former Maria Gammaitoni. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 3.
Also surviving are his children, Eric Feifer and his wife, Patrice, Forty Fort; Robyn Cherinka and her husband, Michael, Forty Fort; his brother, Gerald Feifer and his wife, Joan, Drums; his grandchildren, Emily and Sarah Feifer; and Elizabeth and Samantha Cherinka; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
Arrangements are by Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston.
