Ronald T. Gelsleichter, 32, of Glen Lyon, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at his home.
Ronald Thomas Gelsleichter was born on April Fools Day 1985. Experts are still not sure if that was fate playing a joke on him or on the world, but it is believed this set the tone for his entire life.
Fittingly, Ron's greatest virtue was his irreverent and idiosyncratic sense of humor, which left his friends breathless with laughter over even the most inappropriate things. Ron was a talented artist and imaginative writer. He shared a passion for movies, professional wrestling and video games with those for whom he cared most.
While Ron could count those he considered true friends on one hand and still have enough fingers free to open a can of Cherry Coke, he will be deeply missed by more people than he would have ever believed. He is survived by his nameless cat, an epic DVD collection and the countless fond memories he left in the minds of those who loved him.
A graveside Blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Nicholas Cemetery, North Pioneer Avenue, Shavertown.
Arrangements are by George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., Glen Lyon.
