Ronald James Johnson Sr., 79, of Hudson, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 20, 2021.
Born Oct. 18, 1942, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Maurice and Agnes Dolan Johnson.
A graduate of Coughlin High School, Ronald enlisted in the Army and served in the 82nd Airborne for three years.
Ronald drove for IDC for more than twenty years and the Luzerne County Transportation Department until retiring.
His wife, Sherry Clark Johnson, died Feb. 2, 1995. A twin brother, Raymond; brothers, Maurice, Edwin, Earl and Donald Johnson; and sisters, Marlene Scott, Jean Wisnesky, and Joan Niedzweski also preceded him in death.
His children, Ronald (Donna) Johnson, Denise (Rob) Marchetti, and Kimberly (Paul) Cole; grandchildren, Alexandra (Devin) Green, Cassidy, Paul and Jacob Cole; great-grandchildren, Sophia, DJ and Rhylee; brother, Thomas Johnson; sister, Lois Winsor; other family and friends will miss him very much.
