Tammy M. Simpson, 54, of Kingston, passed away at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Tammy was the daughter of Diane Youngblood and the late Thomas Simpson and a 1989 graduate of Meyers High School. She was recently employed at Air Engineering Sales Corp. as a sales representative.
Tammy was a sweet, kind soul who loved her friends and her golden retriever, but more than anything, she loved her family, especially her children. She was the funniest person she knew, and enjoyed a good joke, she was also a selfless person who was willing to help everyone.
Tammy is already deeply missed by her daughter, Jyllian Barchi, Luzerne; son, Rocco Barchi, Kingston; their father, John Barchi, Florida; siblings, Holly Usavage, Mountain Top; Tom Simpson, Wilkes-Barre; Christopher and Alex Simpson, Drums; nephew, Ian Simpson, Washington; niece, Ava Usavage and nephew, Frankie Usavage, both of Mountain Top; dog, Jax; and extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, and at Henry Cancer Center (Geisinger Wyoming Valley) for their incredible loving care of Tammy.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in The Glen Summit Chapel, 450 Lake Road, Mountain Top.
Arrangements are from Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre.
