Vincent J. Suriano

Vincent J. (Jimmy) Suriano, 85, of Pittston passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015.

Born in Pittston on July 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Anthony Suriano Sr. and Angelina Credodio Suriano.

He attended Pittston schools. He served in the U.S. Army during he Korean War. He and had worked as an electronic technician at the Tobyhanna Army Depot. He also drove for the Yatesville Bus Co.

He was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, now St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, Vincent Suriano, Jr.; and son, Vincent Suriano I; brothers, Frank and Joseph Suriano.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Lillian Petrini Suriano; daughters, Lori Faraday, Pittston Township; and Janene Yarborough and her husband, Richard, Moosic; grandchildren, Ashley Faraday-Kettle; Domanique Yarborough and Tyler Yarborough; sisters, Philomena Cutter, Virginia and Carmella Suriano, Pittston; brothers, Angelo Suriano, South Carolina; and Anthony Suriano, Washington state; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday from Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston, 237 William St., Pittston. Friends may call from 8 until 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston Township. The AMVETS Honor Guard will provide military honors.
